Perspective
June 9, 2008 – 3:37 amI think the world has completely lost perspective. I mean, we have literally millions of people struggling to make ends meet or even put some food on the table and we have some people just living it up and spending copius amounts of cash on the dumbest things.
I saw a show the other day called Forbes’ Richest… and they do a countdown of the richest people in whatever catagorie they belong to. Now I know, to each his own - we spend our money on whatever we want - it’s our right, but come on… Some of these people spend something like $2 million on a wedding, and $65 000 on a dress, for one awards show - just to look a liitle better than the rest - it’s crazy!
Fuel demand is on the up and naturally so is the price. Some of these guys own their own jets and fly across the world sometimes three times a week. Surely they can fly first class on any other airline and savethe world some jet fuel..? I dunno, maybe I’m wrong in saying this, maybe I’m even jealous (I think I’m jealous), but I think we all need to just slow down a bit and help the poor out - just a little bit and it should make a HUGE difference…
